Tillväxt: “We want to help forest owners transition to continuous-cover forestry”
Handelsbanken’s customer magazine Tillväxt met with Edith to discuss challenges and solutions in continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk)—and what it takes to make it profitable.

"One challenge with continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk) is profitability. Swedish research and artificial intelligence increase the chances of quickly selecting the economically right trees to harvest."
Tillväxt, Handelsbanken’s customer magazine, met with Edith Heppich—CEO and co‑founder of Hyggligt—for a feature about the company and how Hyggligt views profitability and other challenges in continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk) in Sweden.
“— We want to help forest owners transition to continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk). That’s why we offer the entire chain—including finding contractors (entreprenörer) and selling the timber (virket),” says Edith Heppich.
Hyggligt and Handelsbanken are also hosting a joint forest meet-up (skogsträff) in September. The event is for Handelsbanken customers and forest owners, with a focus on continuous-cover harvesting methods (hyggesfria avverkningsmetoder) and how forest owners can achieve strong economics in continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk).
