About Hyggligt

Hyggligt was founded in 2023 to make continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk) an economically viable alternative for Swedish forest owners—and a real alternative to traditional clearcut forestry (trakthyggesbruk). We do this by increasing profitability, carbon storage, and biodiversity in Swedish forests through an end‑to‑end service for selection cutting (plockhuggning).

Our operations, models, and harvesting method are built on Swedish research. The method—and Hyggligt’s AI model—are designed to maximize forest profitability while minimizing negative impact on nature. Our team includes forest researchers, domain experts, software engineers, lawyers, and communicators.
