Skogsaktuellt: New technology to develop continuous-cover forestry
The trade magazine Skogsaktuellt visited us in the forest during our first harvest using the Hyggligt Method.

During our first harvest using the Hyggligt Method (Hyggligtmetoden), the trade magazine Skogsaktuellt visited to see how it went and to learn more about Hyggligt. They interviewed Erik from Hyggligt, harvester operator Johan from Krycklinge Skog AB, and forest owner Anders.
“Laser data, image analysis, and algorithms will help the harvester operator choose which trees to cut in continuous-cover harvests (hyggesfria avverkningar). The startup Hyggligt Skogsbruk AB is developing a new method for selective logging (plockhuggning), which they believe has a large market. Skogsaktuellt was on site for the very first harvesting assignment.”
