This week, Edith Heppich—CEO and co‑founder of Hyggligt—was interviewed by NA (Nerikes Allehanda) in connection with her nomination for this year’s Froda Scholarship recipient (Frodastipendiat). She is one of five finalists competing to become “Framtidens kvinnliga företagare 2024” (Future Female Entrepreneur 2024), a scholarship awarded by the company Froda. Edith was interviewed together with Janna Naser (Alga insulation), who is also nominated, since they both grew up in Närke.

“Edith Heppich, 29, founded Hyggligt together with her triplet siblings and their partners. With the help of digital technology, they want to make continuous-cover forestry (hyggesfritt skogsbruk)—where you select which trees to cut instead of clearcutting (kalhugga)—more efficient and more profitable.”

“We’ve received a great response from the forest sector. We can offer an alternative that’s missing today,” says Edith Heppich.
