Field test ahead of the first harvest
We visited our harvester operator in the field for a final test before the very first harvest using Hyggligtmetoden.
Last Friday, John and Erik were back in the field with the contractor and harvester operator Johan, who will run the operation for our very first harvest using Hyggligtmetoden. The harvest will take place at our pilot customer’s property in Östhammar Municipality.
The goal was to test both hardware and software in the field one last time before harvesting begins. In the harvester, the operator has access to our visualization tool, which clearly shows on-screen which trees should be cut and which should remain. The trees are displayed in a “digital twin”—a digital 3D copy of the forest you’re in—that tracks the harvester’s GPS position.
The test went as well as it possibly could—and now our very first harvest using Hyggligtmetoden is just around the corner. We’re extremely excited!
